The children worked brilliantly in teams to take on our Anderson Shelter Building Challenge! Using only a small selection of materials, they had to design and build a shelter strong enough to hold as much weight as possible. There was fantastic collaboration, problem-solving and creativity on display, with lots of discussion about how to make structures stronger and more stable.
Some groups produced incredibly sturdy shelters that held an impressive amount of weight – real engineers in the making! Others… well… let’s just say their shelters were very low to the ground, some may even have been flat before we started! None of this stopped the great fun had by everyone, with plenty of laughs along the way. A brilliant, hands-on activity that really showed the power of teamwork and perseverance!
