Coding
In our recent coding lesson, Primary 6 used the platform Scratch to explore the key elements of programming. The session started with an introduction to coding concepts, followed by practical application. We selected our sprites and customised backgrounds, which served as the foundation for our projects.
As part of the coding process, pupils used a variety of programming blocks, specifically focusing on motion, looks, and sound. This hands-on experience allowed P6 to not only develop their technical skills but also to express their creativity through personalised animations and sound effects. Throughout the lesson, the boys and girls collaborated and shared ideas, fostering a supportive environment that encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving.
A special mention to Jake who created a game all by himself! We invited one of our lovely primary fours to try the game out- she gave it a big thumbs up.
