Home-School Links in Action!
Our Primary 4 children have thoroughly enjoyed our World War II WAU topic, with lots of exciting learning continuing beyond the classroom walls. As part of their learning, the children were challenged to build their own Anderson shelters at home using a variety of creative materials and ideas.
This has provided amazing historical learning opportunities, encouraging meaningful discussions at home about life during WWII and helping the children make real connections with their WAU learning. It has also been lovely to see families working together, building not only fantastic shelters but also special memories and relationships along the way.
We have been so impressed by the creativity, effort and enthusiasm shown by all of the children — well done everyone!
