Primary 4 pupils had a chillingly fun time exploring how salt can lower the temperature of ice — by making their very own homemade ice cream! As part of their World Around Us topic, the children investigated the science behind freezing and melting, discovering how adding salt affects the temperature of ice.
After some careful mixing, shaking, and plenty of giggles, they were rewarded with a delicious ice cream treat to enjoy — the perfect way to end a hands-on science experiment!
