Our class have been exploring the fascinating world of forces and this week we focused on gravity. We learned that gravity pulls objects towards the centre of the Earth, and we put this idea to the test when Mrs Rennie dropped an egg!
To extend our learning, we designed and created our own parachutes to see if we could protect an egg during a drop. After planning our designs carefully, we built our parachutes and headed outside to test them in the playground.
Only two eggs survived the fall, which led to a great discussion about what worked well and how we could improve our parachute designs next time.
