Primary 5 have been busy learning all about the digestive system and the fascinating journey food takes through our bodies. As part of our World Around Us topic, we carried out a hands-on experiment to explore how food is broken down and absorbed. Using everyday materials, we recreated the different stages of digestion, from chewing in the mouth to the stomach and intestines , this helped us to understand how our bodies process the food we eat. It was a fun, messy, and memorable way to bring our learning to life!
