Ulster Museum Visit

1st May 2026

Primary 5 had a fantastic day during their visit to the Ulster Museum. The trip began with an engaging weaving workshop in the art gallery, where pupils explored different techniques and created their own designs.

Afterwards, the class visited the Nature Discovery Room. Here, they had the opportunity to use microscopes and closely examine a variety of animals, insects, as well as an interesting collection of stones and crystals.

The children then moved on to the history section, where they learned about toys from the past. They particularly enjoyed playing with some of the toys and trying on a range of historical artefacts.

Before lunch, Primary 5 explored the Egyptian exhibition, where they saw the mummy Takabuti, along with a mummified cat and canopic jars. This was a highlight of the day for many pupils.

The class enjoyed lunch outdoors before heading back to school. It was a memorable trip and everyone had a wonderful time.
